Graceful visual overflow

As a photography enthusiast this tool comes pretty handy. Flickr Leech uses the Flickr API to provide us with an overwhelming number of thumbs (see pic). Providing 200 thumbnails of a specific date or tag it’s great for the inspirational browsing when one is procrastinating in contrast to the 24 thumbs you get from Flickr. [...]

Using Pixelpost as my Photoblog Software

After months of experimenting I got back to where I started from: Pixelpost. Pixelpost is a php-driven free software to present pictures fast, clean and easy to install. If your server or host meets the requirements (PHP 4.3 or greater (w/ GD-lib) & MySQL 3.23.58 or greater) you are able to set up this open-source [...]

New Lens Sigma 105mm Macro

Last week I got my new Sigma Macro 105mm. It’s a fabulous lens! I want to share some of my new pictures with you using my favorite slideshow application: SlideShow Pro. More of these you’ll find at my Flickr or Zooomr page. Feel free to comment.

Flickr slideshow for blogs

123flickr.com provides a nice solution to show your flickr photosets as a diashow in your website. Just type the photoset-id in the form (last combination of numbers showing in the link when you select a set of your pictures) and receive the code to embed in your site. Sad but perhaps planned for future development: [...]

Antistress programme

The past 4 days I went through the personal nightmare of every computer owner. During my last project, just when I sent 32 pages via FTP to the printing press, my computer froze to death. It never happened to me like this before… Not during playing a game with heavy graphic, not during nibbling around [...]

Summer greetings

I’m experimenting with the excellent pictures of my friend & partner Andrei (more photos from him on his site Finlandia). I took this opportunity to send you some summer greetings for your viewing pleasure. Click on thumbnails to enlarge.

The Kuenringers stronghold

Today my wife, my youngest son David and I visited our friends in Lower Austria. Their house sits aside an interesting ruin of the 12th century of the Kuenringer.
Founded 1056, the Kuenringer originally came from Bavaria and were given three ‘hoofs’ of land in a village called “Hecimanneswisa” by King Henry III after their [...]

Colour Gift For You

I am sending you a greeting. Life is way too serious to forget about beautiful things. Take a step back and look at nature. Every year we have the chance to see plants grow and blossom – providing the most amazing colours and shapes. So I decided to design this card – dedicated to [...]

Presentation via SlideShow Pro

Yes! Finally I managed to place a nifty, small tool named Slide Show Pro on this WordPress Blog here. It’s a conveniant, highly customizable tool for presentations I recommend very much. You’ll find it under the tab ‘picreel’. Many kids – many pictures of them. Under ’special’ I show my other approach to reality. Feel [...]

a walk in history

Today I took a walk with my wife and 3 of ‘the horde’ to a small mountain near Vienna. It is(was) famous for its old vine cellars. The weather was beautiful so I managed to take some pics of the old cellar doors.
