Social life revamped

To provide you with an overview of my activities on the Net I installed the fabulous SimplePie Plugin for WordPress. Click the Tab “Stream” and you’ll find the condensation of various feeds of my Netlife. Thanks to Lisa McMillan who provided the link on her ma.gnolia page. Up to now I included my feeds from […]

Blog Action Day

So here it is - faster than I thought: the strength of thousands of bloggers united - concerned about the future of our world. What’s so special about it? Well, ’cause it doesn’t happen very often that millions of people are writing about the environment on the same day.
As I thought about my prospective content […]

Antistress programme

The past 4 days I went through the personal nightmare of every computer owner. During my last project, just when I sent 32 pages via FTP to the printing press, my computer froze to death. It never happened to me like this before… Not during playing a game with heavy graphic, not during nibbling around […]

Teaching anatomy, physiology and pathology

Three days ago I started my new job at the Willi Dungl center in Lower Austria. I have the chance to pass my knowledge as a medical doctor on to students who are instructed to become biotrainers (a special education which includes classical massage, thermotherapy, reflextherapy, lymphatic drainage and electro-therapy).
It’s fun to be teacher/instructor for […]

New German blog written by my wife Petra

I installed a new blog for my wife Petra called Zoe’s Journal. Apart of being the most wonderful person in the world she is a scientific journalist and author. On her new blog she writes about the little events in life that make you smile and (sometimes) sigh. Again I used WordPress - it is […]

The Kuenringers stronghold

Today my wife, my youngest son David and I visited our friends in Lower Austria. Their house sits aside an interesting ruin of the 12th century of the Kuenringer.
Founded 1056, the Kuenringer originally came from Bavaria and were given three ‘hoofs’ of land in a village called “Hecimanneswisa” by King Henry III after their […]

Colour Gift For You

I am sending you a greeting. Life is way too serious to forget about beautiful things. Take a step back and look at nature. Every year we have the chance to see plants grow and blossom - providing the most amazing colours and shapes. So I decided to design this card - dedicated to […]

Top Ten Signs You May Be Charging Too Little

In case you didn’t already read this hilarious list from FreelanceSwitch please do now! A good way to look at sad facts in a humourous way…
Apart of being funny FreelanceSwitch is a recommendable site for all you freelancers out there. I found numerous interesting articles and read it on a regular basis.
A good example how […]

Presentation via SlideShow Pro

Yes! Finally I managed to place a nifty, small tool named Slide Show Pro on this WordPress Blog here. It’s a conveniant, highly customizable tool for presentations I recommend very much. You’ll find it under the tab ‘picreel’. Many kids - many pictures of them. Under ’special’ I show my other approach to reality. Feel […]

Routine

Routine has two qualities for me: avoiding development and providing the ground for it. I often find myself deliberately stuck in routines. Feels safe and comfortable. Moving (or not moving?) on safe ground has its qualities. On the other hand I totally freak out when I perceive this status to be longer than one hour.
