Some things worth noting… by Thomas F.

Thomas F.There is something in our brains that constantly prevents us from stopping dead in our tracks, looking around and going “WTF?”, just, sometimes it fails. Einstein’s WTF-blocker was broken. We call him a genius.

You only using 10% of your brain at any one time is actually just another way of saying that only 10% of the neurons are firing at any one time. If they were all to fire simultaneously, you wouldn’t be smarter, you’d have some sort of spastic epileptic attack.

The physical concept of tunneling would theoretically allow you to drop through the floor that is currently supporting you… at any given moment…

Would life on a constant supply of Intravenous morphine, with life support to keep you breathing, be enjoyable? Doesn’t everyone just want an enjoyable life? Why aren’t we in morphine tubes? Whatever you answered,.. would you give the same answer, were you already in a morphine tube? Wouldn’t it invalidate your first answer?

The 2000€ worth of extra pixels on a 1080 HDTV are invisible if you sit more than three meters away.

Life for the all-knowing would be pointless. It’s a good thing we can’t figure out the universe. So… why do we spend billions of man hours trying to invalidate our own existence?

Humans are still in beta.

Without liberalism, there’d be nothing for conservatives to “hold on” to, surely they must recognize that. If they do, then they have essentially labeled themselves cowards. If they don’t, they haven’t understood the essence of conservativeness.

No one on the entire planet actually talks like people on TV.

Doing an interview with a broken camera doesn’t heed the same answers as the same interview without a camera. People become bigger lairs when they appeal to a larger audience. That’s because they feel they have some sort of obligation to please them.

Water, sex and food should theoretically be classified “class-A” drugs. Makes me reconsider the term “addiction”.

How can you ever blame anyone for anything if everyone is just a product of everyone else’s influences? No one can create or destroy anything, all we can do is assort and rearrange. Sound like physics to you? Maybe you should quit obsessing about some sort of invisible barrier that separates the physical from social and personal reality.

You see these words? You “understanding” them is just electrons jumping across synapses in that soggy gray mass you keep in your skull.

That is all. Go ahead. Call me a hippy.
